Our audioguide app tells the story of theBirthplace of Fryderyk Chopin and Park in Żelazowa Wola. It leadsyou through the commemorative park and the interior of the annex,evoking the atmosphere of a bygone age while providing the latestinformation on the history of this very special place. Theaudioguide is an essential part of any visit to Żelazowa Wola.The application contains:•a short film featuring the natural beauty of Mazovia, where Chopinwas born and spent time in his youth•the audioguide•a map of the museum grounds, including the composer’s birthplaceand the park, which is in itself exceptional.The audioguide is accompanied by attractive pictures of the annexinterior and park. You can also use it to listen to selected worksof Chopin performed by distinguished pianists on periodinstruments.The map shows important spots in the park and the buildings, withhelpful descriptions for tourists.The app also contains two texts which tell the history of theannex, and of the park created in honour of Poland’s greatestcomposer. These are illustrated with period documents and rarephotographs showing Żelazowa Wola as it was from the late 19thcentury up to before the Second World War. In comparing these withthe current surroundings during a visit, you can better understandthis special place, which has undergone many changes, yet maintainsits unique character.The application also provides detailed practical informationwhich can be useful both before and while visiting.
